The Super Highway project is been peddled as a project with an economic advantage, which could bring prosperity to the people of Cross River State. However, this may not be the case as economic experts have calculated that the project could potentially throw the State into severe debt that would take decades of recovery. Perhaps the State Government should start thinking more of alternative sustainable development options that would be more beneficial to the people, with less impact on the environment and the livelihood of forest communities.
