Israel Faleye is an independent researcher, monitoring, evaluation and learning (ME&L)
consultant, and entrepreneur with nearly a decade of combined experience working across
different areas of international development. With primary focus on the renewables and
environment industry, Israel has contributed to other local and international studies across several
themes including off-grid energy, climate finance, migration, human capital development &
sociology, as well as urban transportation and renewal. Israel currently leads the team at
MySolarBid Limited – a climate-tech startup that helps solar installers access funding, technology
and markets, with the goal of providing homes and businesses in Nigeria with clean, reliable and
affordable energy. He has a masters in energy economics from the University of Ibadan, and a
B.Sc. in Physics with Electronics from Osun state University.
